How it works
Three steps. Zero paperwork.
- 01
Pick your risk
A flight, a storm window, an event. We find the matching market and quote it live from the order book.
- 02
Buy coverage
Your premium buys YES-shares that pay $1 each if the event happens. The price is the market's honest probability.
- 03
Paid on resolution
When the market resolves, redemption and payout run automatically. Track every step on-chain.
Parasol and Polymarket
Same market. Same price. A different thing to hold.
Polymarket is the venue: the order books, the liquidity and the catalog are all theirs, and every Parasol position is a real holding on one of their markets at the book's own price. What Parasol changes is the shape of the thing you end up with - you name a payout instead of a price, and settlement runs without you. It is not a cheaper or safer Polymarket, and on custody it asks more trust, not less.
On the exchange
A position you run
- You pick the price and the size
- You hold the shares yourself
- You choose when to exit
Through Parasol
A payout you bought
- You name the payout, we size the order
- Premium and fee shown before you commit
- Settlement and credit run themselves
What you buy
Polymarket directOutcome shares at a price you choose. You hold them, you manage them, and you can sell whenever the book lets you.
Through ParasolThe same shares, sized to a payout you name. Parasol solves for how many to buy and shows the premium before you commit.
Who sets the price
Polymarket directThe order book.
Through ParasolThe same order book - Parasol has no pricing of its own. It walks the book, adds a fee stated in the quote, and shows you the total.
What's available
Polymarket directEverything the exchange lists.
Through ParasolThe same catalog, nothing added. If a market isn't listed and resolvable, Parasol cannot cover it either.
Custody
Polymarket directYour position sits in your own account on the exchange, under your control.
Through ParasolFunds sit in Parasol's pooled deposit wallet and your balance is an entry in Parasol's ledger, reconciled nightly against the chain. Less self-custody - that is the trade-off you are making.
After it resolves
Polymarket directSettled on the exchange and credited to your account there.
Through ParasolRedemption and credit run automatically into your Parasol balance, with a transaction hash on every leg.
Spending guardrails
Polymarket directYours to set - it's an open exchange.
Through ParasolEvery purchase is checked against your ledger balance under a per-user lock, so you cannot spend past what you deposited.
How it's framed
Polymarket directA trade. You take a view on an outcome and manage the position.
Through ParasolCoverage. A known premium for a known maximum payout, bought against a risk you already carry.

Transparency
Solvency you can audit, not a promise you have to trust
Every position is a fully-collateralised market holding, funded from Parasol's pooled deposit wallet and tracked in a ledger that is reconciled nightly against the chain. Open exposure is published live.
View live exposureFully collateralised
Max payout is escrowed as market shares the moment you buy: nothing fractional, nothing rehypothecated.
The ledger is the record
The deposit wallet is pooled, so the ledger is the record of your balance - and every purchase or withdrawal is checked against it under a per-user lock. One user's position can never be funded by another user's deposit.
On-chain audit trail
Every fill, every redemption, every payout has a transaction hash you can verify yourself.
FAQ
Fair questions
Is this insurance?
No. Parasol is not regulated insurance; it is a hedging product priced by open markets. Your coverage is a sized YES position on a Polymarket market, and payment depends on how that market resolves, not on your actual loss.
What can I actually cover today?
Any market Polymarket lists and can resolve: sport, crypto, launch windows, geopolitics, and the BTC 5-minute up/down rounds that power Pulse. Purpose-built templates for flight delay, weather and event cancellation are still in development - they are not yet backed by live order books, so we do not sell them as available coverage.
How is the price set?
There is no actuary. The premium is the live cost of YES-shares on the order book plus a platform fee shown in every quote. If the market says the event is 12% likely, roughly $12 of premium buys $100 of payout.
How do payouts work?
Each share pays $1 if the market resolves YES. Resolution triggers redemption automatically: no claims form, no adjuster, no phone call. Funds land in your Parasol wallet, typically within minutes of resolution.
Where is my money held?
In Parasol's pooled deposit wallet on Polygon - one omnibus address, not a wallet per user. Your balance is tracked in Parasol's internal ledger, and that ledger is the record of what you own. Every purchase is gated against it under a per-user lock so nobody can spend into another user's funds, and a nightly job reconciles the ledger against the on-chain balance. Open exposure is published on the transparency page.
What are the risks?
Markets can be disputed, resolve against you, or lack the liquidity to fill or exit a position. Resolution rules, not your actual loss, determine payment. Because custody is pooled, you are relying on Parasol's ledger and reconciliation rather than holding the shares yourself. Never commit funds you cannot afford to lose.
The market already has a price for your risk.
Quote it in seconds. Pay out in minutes. Verify everything on-chain.
